Restorative Dentistry

Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry is a specialization in the dentistry field that focuses on repairing, replacing and positively altering damaged, decaying or missing teeth. Restorative dentists strive to address any and all dental imperfections for their patients. These imperfections can include infected gums, chipped or cracked teeth, cavities and other forms of tooth decay. Advanced technology has given restorative dentistry the ability to solve almost every dental defect imaginable. Not only does restorative dentistry make a patient’s smile more physically appealing, but it can also drastically improve a patient’s overall oral health and hygiene. Restorative dentists significantly affect a patient’s oral functionality, as well. Some common restorations available to patients include bridges, dental crowns, dental implants, dentures and tooth-colored fillings.
